Remote Software Solutions Engineer

Summary

Join Outside Analytics as a Software Solutions Engineer and play a critical role in the development and deployment of products through various stages of maturity. You will work closely with business development, system architects, product owners, software developers, and customers to ensure that our software solutions meet current and future business needs.

Requirements

• Clearance Required: DOD Secret
• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Candidate also must agree to participate in a background screen
• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 12 years of experience is required
• Working knowledge/skills in C++, Java, Python, JS/TS, and ReactJS
• Working knowledge/skills in Docker, K8s, and Helm

Responsibilities

• Lead and actively assist in design, development, and implementation of scalable remote sensing software solutions
• Collaborate with product managers and developers to align technical solutions with business requirements and product roadmaps
• Work closely with customers to gather requirements, identify technical needs, and propose solutions that meet business objectives
• Actively develop software solutions. Work with software architects on platform architecture guidance, coding standards, testing practices, and optimization techniques
• Work cross-functionally with teams such as sales, marketing, and customer support to ensure seamless integration of software products and customer success
• Stay updated on the latest technologies, tools, and methodologies to continuously improve our development practices and product roadmaps

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in product development or product management
• Prior experience working with SaaS platforms or enterprise-level software solutions
• Experience with Geospatial software and analysis
• Experience in Visible, Infrared, Radar, Synthetic Aperture Radar remote sensing data processing
• Experience with machine learning (supervised and unsupervised), training, operational implementations, and MLOps
