Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in event sponsorship sales
  • A strong list of direct client and agency contacts
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills are essential to effectively deliver proposals and run client meetings
  • An entrepreneurial can-do attitude
  • Comfortable in ambiguity - working through things for the first time
  • Ability to think creatively and make data-driven decisions
  • Skilled in crafting slide decks and written pitch materials

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders: Work closely with various departments within the organization, such as marketing, sales, and event operations, to pool internal resources and develop winning sponsorship proposals
  • Develop strategic partnerships : Identify and engage potential sponsors to establish long-term relationships
  • Craft compelling sponsorship packages that align with sponsor objectives and deliver mutual benefits
  • Maximize revenue potential: Drive revenue growth by implementing effective sponsorship strategies, negotiating favorable deals, and leveraging existing sponsor relationships. Constantly seek opportunities to upsell and expand sponsorship portfolios
  • Ensure successful delivery: Oversee the execution of sponsorship agreements, ensuring all commitments are met in a timely and professional manner. Coordinate with internal teams to deliver sponsor benefits, activations, and experiential opportunities
  • Monitor sponsor satisfaction: Proactively communicate with sponsors to gather feedback, address concerns, and maintain strong relationships. Regularly evaluate sponsorship performance and provide reports on ROI and deliverables
