Join CookUnity as a full-time proactive Jr. Sustainability and Standards Analyst to support sustainability initiatives, analyze ingredients and vendors, collect data for business case assessments, track food waste, and manage sustainability audits and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or about to graduate n Business, Supply Chain, Environmental or Food Engineering, or other related
  • 1-2 years of previous experience in a data entry role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate/advanced user of Google Sheets/Excel
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and engage with multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent level of English is required

Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize, and analyze data to support business case assessments for sustainability initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data-driven insights that inform decision-making on sustainable ingredients and sourcing
  • Manage and maintain sustainability-related databases and other information systems
  • Search and assess ingredients and vendors to ensure alignment with the companyโ€™s sustainability standards
  • Evaluate vendor practices and ingredient sourcing to identify areas for improvement in sustainability and development of special lines
  • Monitor and document food waste across operations, creating accurate records for waste reduction initiatives
  • Generate regular metrics and reports on food waste
  • Conduct and manage sustainability audits, ensuring compliance with company and local regulatory standards
  • Prepare detailed sustainability reports, summarizing findings from audits and ongoing progress towards sustainability goals
  • Screen CookUnity portfolio and analyze recipes to identify potential improvements in ingredients, upgrade them, review ingredients labels, and search for additives replacements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic Knowledge of ingredients sourcing and vendor assessment
  • Experience in the food industry is a plus!
