Requirements
- Strong experience with analytics engineering tooling including SQL, dbt, data warehouses (e.g. Snowflake) and BI tools (e.g. Looker, Metabase)
- Experience leading a team of 2+ engineers, with a background as an analytics engineer or in a similar technical role
- Demonstrated experience in data modeling, managing data quality, and ensuring efficient data pipeline practices
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities
- Inspires others, instills confidence, and good comprehension of team dynamics, coaching and mentoring
- Great communication, project management skills and ability to lead technical discussions
- Strong ability to work independently and self-guided, and comfortable with ambiguity
- Curiosity and willingness to learn and develop
- Writes and speaks fluent English
Responsibilities
- Oversee and mentor a group of 2-5 analytics engineers
- Ensure the delivery of robust, high-quality data models and analytical solutions
- Leading a distributed team of engineers, providing regular feedback, coaching and mentoring
- Working closely with Data Leadership and stakeholders on defining, prioritising and delivering our roadmap
- Building relationships with stakeholders to best support their needs, and ensuring we deliver impactful work in a timely manner
- Active contribution to developing and delivering engineering solutions, either through direct work or technical guidance
