Responsibilities

• Interfacing with the engineering team. This includes identifying software development needs in the engineering organization, collecting and screening incoming software development requests, understanding technical aspects of software development work, summarizing on-going software development work for the broader engineering team, ensuring that internal software products are understood and utilized, developing source code on occasion and when necessary to assist in delivery of software development goals, and developing processes to facilitate interactions between the engineering team and (1) internal software products and (2) the Software Team
• Organization and prioritization of software development work. This includes communicating software development requirements for incoming requests, prioritizing software development efforts by taking into account “quality of life” needs in engineering team, internal development deadlines, and external milestone deadlines , advocating for additional resources to meet milestone deadlines, aligning Software Team development goals with reactor product design goals, owning the Software Team backlog and clarifying prioritization and timelines, and collaborating with technical leads in the Software Team to track software product development and implementation
