Summary
Join A Better Balance as Vice President of Development and lead the strategy development, systems building, and revenue increase to achieve our vision. The VP of Development will leverage our strong foundation of policy, litigation, and direct services impact and the current moment of national interest in worker and family issues.
Requirements
- At least seven to ten years of relevant professional experience with specific experience in or ability to design a comprehensive fundraising strategy with the purpose of increasing and diversifying revenue
- Experience serving as an effective fundraiser for an organization, with experience in or knowledge of institutional and major gift fundraising
- Highly skilled in persuasion writing and speaking, and ability to succinctly and powerfully represent an organization's impact - either as an ambassador or in preparing the President and leadership for presentations
- Strength in preparing, positioning, and managing leaders to serve as effective fundraising ambassadors
- Experience in or ability to build fundraising infrastructure to support organizational size, stage, and strategic priorities, including supporting prospecting and stewardship
- Experience confirming new sources of revenue and increasing revenue growth
Responsibilities
- Design and execute the overall fundraising strategy with the purpose of increasing and diversifying revenue
- Build and manage strong relationships with the internal team, current funders and board members, and prospective funders
- Assess and improve our fundraising infrastructure and processes
- Represent A Better Balance externally and position and prepare the President and leadership team to be effective fundraisers
