Remote VMWare Administrator

Summary

Join our team as a Virtual Infrastructure Administrator to manage the virtual infrastructure, design, maintain, and support server and storage systems, and provide business continuity and disaster recovery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Relevant experience in an enterprise environment with data center hardware and virtualization with VMware

Responsibilities

• Administer the virtual infrastructure
• Provide infrastructure design, maintenance and support
• Sizing and firmware management on server and data center hardware
• Provide capacity analysis and management
• Analyze help desk tickets assigned to the group, resolve, and if necessary, escalate
• Provide for business continuity during server-related problems
• Provide for disaster recovery contingencies
• Document all processes, system changes/fixes, and issues
• Maintain consistent standardization of the server environment, infrastructure, functions, and objects
• Support project teams on data migrations, server upgrades, rollouts, and production turnover
