Summary

Join FrontierView's APAC Healthcare Research team as a contractor and contribute to impactful research on healthcare industry developments across Asia-Pacific, focusing on Mainland China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. You will track and analyze healthcare policy reforms and payment policies, update public healthcare datasets, and create research outputs such as policy summaries, reports, and presentations. This is a remote, part-time (20-30 hours/week) contract position (approximately 6 months, with potential for extension) based in China. Prior healthcare experience is a plus but not required; comprehensive guidance and support will be provided. The role involves working with both Chinese and English language materials and requires strong research, analytical, and communication skills.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail, execution efficiency, critical thinking skills, and ability to quickly grasp new concepts
  • Excellent communication skills in English (writing, editing, and presenting) are required
  • Demonstrated research experience, including finding and validating information, building hypotheses, dealing with complex/technical materials, and understanding different sources of information is required

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and summarize major healthcare policy and reimbursement reforms across Greater China (including Taiwan and Hong Kong)
  • Translate key healthcare policy documents and announcements from Chinese to English
  • Update and maintain monthly healthcare datasets and trackers
  • Develop charts, graphs, and PowerPoint materials to support healthcare research outputs
  • Draft research notes and assist in writing more in-depth policy analysis reports under supervision

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in public health, healthcare management, international relations, economics, business, or related fields is preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or interest in global healthcare systems through academic and/or professional research experience is preferred, but not required
  • Proficient in MS PowerPoint and Excel; ability to create simple, clean charts and presentations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of key regional languages (Mandarin/Cantonese) through academic and/or professional research experience. An understanding of the current socio-political and economic environment in the region is particularly key
  • Experience in managing multiple projects, working on tight deadlines, and working relatively independently in remote work setting
  • Demonstrated ability to cover a variety of topics and issues, including completely new topics
