Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain professional working relations with internal and external customers
  • Minimum of three years experience in a customer service/sales support role
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and organizational skills. Ability to "multi-task" effectively
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with word processing in Windows and Google environments
  • High School Diploma needed

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments of customer needs within the assigned region or area. Analyze account trends (e.g., order histories, levels, etc.) and customer needs and apply insight in proactively identifying potential opportunities to drive additional sales
  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities for assigned accounts. Collaborate with the sales team to convert identified opportunities into sales wins
  • Provide product recommendations, samples, technical support, pricing and service information on demand
  • Provide technical support assistance by applying troubleshooting techniques
  • Establish customer pricing within published guidelines
  • Coordinate review, implementation, and maintenance of customer information and price agreements in CRM
  • Support business expansion by providing market & customer insight, establishing efficient and replicable customer service processes, communicating customer specific requirements and collaborating across boundaries to ensure long-term growth of the retail and industrial business
  • Support business development efforts with analysis of industry, market size & trends, competitive solutions and positioning, market share, and customer/industry needs for the product portfolio
  • Collaborate internally to develop and execute targeted marketing collateral, sales tools, and promotional campaigns
  • Make outgoing calls to existing customers and prospects to support sales growth
  • Provide support to the sales team during pre-sales negotiations and presentations
  • Participate in team efforts which involve process improvements, Six Sigma methodology and cross functional approach

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CRM Software
  • Interdepartmental and Team facilitation skills
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Business or related field
