Requirements

  • At least 3-5 years of prior experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst
  • Strong SQL and data manipulation skills
  • Proficiency in BI platforms like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker and understanding of reporting and business intelligence best practices
  • Experience with Oracle Financials highly preferred. Experience with Salesforce a plus
  • Strong analytical skillset and effectiveness at organizing, interpreting, and reporting data to senior management
  • Exceptional business acumen with focus on Sales and Operations and the ability to understand and translate business needs into actionable reports
  • Ability to anticipate problems and solutions while maintaining a long-term, big-picture view; experience in forecasting models to understand patterns in sales data and predict operational needs
  • Ability to identify creative solutions to address business needs based on the facts and issues presented
  • Exceptional organizational skills and proven ability to manage schedules and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present complex analysis and recommendations to key stakeholders
  • Ability to focus on multiple things at once. A self-starter who can work independently to identity and solve business problems
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics)

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with key stakeholders within the organization to design, develop, and implement BI solutions based on reporting and data analysis needs
  • Develop scalable reporting to provide data-driven decision support by creating visually appealing and user-friendly reports and dashboards using BI tools to optimize decision-making within the organization, including dashboards that provide insights into sales trends, demand forecasting, and staffing needs
  • Document instructions and definitions associated with business intelligence tools to ensure a clear and complete understanding of the reports and/or data
  • Think strategically. Work directly with company leadership and department heads to understand trends and variances to support business needs
  • Solve problems. Identify and lead initiatives to improve, automate, and scale reporting tools, processes, and methodologies
  • Collaborate cross-functionally. Work with the Operations and Sales teams to understand key drivers and reporting requirements, and with IT teams to ensure data integrity, troubleshooting any technical issues related to data collection, storage, and reporting
