Sales Engineer

Summary

Join RelationalAI's Sales Engineering team as a pre-sales professional and leverage your expertise to drive business value for our customers. You will work closely with sales representatives, perform in-depth discovery of customer needs, design and propose proof-of-concepts, and create sales collateral. This role requires 5+ years of Sales Engineering experience, including selling or supporting Snowflake, and familiarity with relational databases and SQL. You'll be presenting the value of RelationalAI's architecture and capabilities to diverse audiences. The position is highly cross-functional, requiring collaboration with various teams. Requirements

• Bring 5+ years of Sales Engineering professional experience
• Have sold Snowflake as a Sales Engineer employed at Snowflake, OR have supported Snowflake as a Snowflake employee or Snowflake partner, OR have been a user of Snowflake
• Prior pre-sales / sales engineering experience, especially doing presentations and demos, conducting discovery and whiteboarding sessions, etc
• Familiar with relational databases and SQL
• Experience conceptualizing and presenting the business value of a product’s architecture and capabilities to different audiences in different industries

Responsibilities

• Work with Sales Reps to identify and call upon prospects
• Position RAI’s product within the ecosystem of complementary tools, partners, and competitors
• Perform deep dive discovery to identify customer data flows, key use cases and stakeholders, pain points and opportunities
• Design and propose POCs and Pilots, including success criteria
• Create sales collateral and other assets
• Interact and have technical discussions with data scientists and engineers
• Demonstrate the value of RelationalAI in business discussions with company executives
• Regularly work with the sales, product, engineering, support, and marketing teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Coding/scripting experience: e.g. Python, Julia, Rel, and shell scripting
• Incredibly knowledgeable
• Data Application experience: solving analytics and other data-related business problems
• Awareness of / interest in declarative programming languages
• Awareness of / interest in business modeling
• Awareness of / interest in machine learning and AI
