Join Packt as a Sales Executive and contribute to the expansion of our successful academic content sales in India. You will research, identify, and sell Packt's digital library to academic institutions in South and East India, building relationships with potential resellers and existing customers. Reporting to the Regional Business Head, you will generate leads, meet with institutions, and understand their needs. Your contributions will directly impact the adoption of our learning resources and shape the future of technology education. This is a fast-paced, demanding, and intellectually challenging role requiring strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
- Good knowledge of Publishing sales (STM) and job-oriented technology courses offered in India
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Higher Education with hands-on experience related to curriculum, credit transfers, and disciplines
- Outstanding marketing, channel, relationship, and communication management skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset, self-motivation, and a clear vision for leading and contributing to organizational growth
- Understanding of technology and technical learning solutions
- Results-oriented with the ability to work with senior university administrators and faculty
- Excellent team player with strong relationship-building abilities
- Exceptional time management skills; ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to build effective relationships across the organization
- Should possess an enterprising attitude, proactively seeking out new opportunities, overcoming challenges, and consistently aiming to exceed targets
- Strong oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, and excellent organization and time-management skills
- Proactive in troubleshooting and problem-solving, upbeat, enthusiastic, and motivated
- Demonstrated self-starter who is focused and calm under pressure
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with large universities, consortiums, and educational institutions to grow Packt's presence in the Academic market across India
- Take complete ownership of the geography and Institutes allocated
- Oversee the process of acquiring new university and institution partners, while collaborating with the product and university relations team to expand the range of courses offered
- Manage end-to-end renewal processes for existing university partners, ensuring long-term collaboration and growth
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within university partners, including chancellors, owners, deans, HODs, and others
- Attend relevant physical calls on campus and regular follow up on leads
- Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities and introduce new training programs aimed at providing individuals with the skills and hands-on experience needed in today's digital landscape
- Maintain strong networking and working relations with Education owners and functional SMEs (Subject Matter Expert) to ensure timely engagement, transparency, and aligned decision-making
- Stay informed about technology standards, guidelines, patterns, and the latest trends in the industry
- Ready to travel as this profile may require spending time in the field and traveling locally
