Sales Internship

Summary

The job description is for a summer internship position at Xometry Inc., a fast-growing technology company in the manufacturing space. The intern will work alongside employees and learn technical, business, and communication skills while solving problems and collaborating with fellow interns on a case study. The intern will be responsible for following up on marketing leads, educating prospects, creating target prospect lists, cold calling, identifying key players, researching business requirements, and presenting solutions to begin the sales cycle.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled full time at an accredited college or university with plans to graduate in May 2025 (Summer between Junior and Senior year)
• Have a minimum of a 3.5 grade point average
• Ability to work approximately 40 hours per week
• Must be available to work for the entire duration of the internship program (June 10 - August 16, 2024)
• Able to provide proof of legal right to work in the United States
• Ability to commute to Lexington, KY office to work hybrid onsite for at least 4 days a week

Responsibilities

• Follow-up on inbound marketing leads and identify qualified opportunities providing appropriate levels of information at the right time for interested prospects
• Be responsible for educating and developing prospects leading to hand-off to sales teams
• Create target prospects lists and penetrate key accounts
• Cold call into prospects generated by variety of outside sources
• Identify key players, researching and obtaining business requirements, and presenting solutions to begin sales cycle
