Summary

Join C.A. Fortune, a leading consumer brands agency, as a Sales Planner to support the Sales and Commercial teams. You will manage trade spend, drive forecast accuracy, and analyze performance across the food and beverage portfolio. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain. The position is fully remote, with a hybrid schedule option if local to Chicago. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in sales planning, trade marketing, or demand forecasting within the food & beverage or CPG industry
  • Experience working with TPM systems (e.g., SAP, AFS, TradePro) and syndicated data sources (IRI, Nielsen, SPINS)
  • Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain sales forecasts by customer, channel, and product line, working closely with Sales and Sales Development
  • Support the planning, tracking, and evaluation of trade promotions, ensuring alignment with sales targets and brand strategies
  • Maintain accuracy in the trade promotion management (TPM) system, including promotion entry, accrual tracking, and deduction reconciliation
  • Analyze promotional effectiveness and provide actionable insights to improve ROI on trade spend
  • Collaborate on the development of annual customer plans, including volume targets, promotional calendars, and investment budgets
  • Partner with clients to ensure accuracy of trade accruals and support monthly and quarterly close processes
  • Work closely with the clients to ensure demand plans align with operational capabilities and inventory goals
  • Support reporting and performance tracking dashboards for internal and external stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with customer planning processes for major grocery, club, or foodservice accounts
  • Understanding of trade mechanics, deduction resolution, and post-event analysis in a food or beverage environment
  • Knowledge of category management or channel-specific dynamics
