Summary

Join Whatnot, the largest livestream shopping platform, as an Inside Account Executive and drive the expansion of our supply by acquiring and nurturing new livestream sellers. You will manage your own portfolio, overseeing the entire sales cycle from pitching and onboarding to providing strategic coaching and facilitating growth. You will deeply understand our sales process, become a go-to expert for SMBs, source and prospect sellers, lead sales calls, close deals, utilize data to assess seller growth, and collaborate with internal partners. This fast-paced role requires up to 3 years of experience in a client-facing role, proficiency with CRM software, and strong analytical skills. Requirements

  • Have up to 3 years of experience working in a fast-paced, client-facing role, and a track record of working quickly and iteratively
  • Be scrappy and flexible enough to work in an ambiguous environment with limited guidance
  • Have experience selling and closing deals as well as the ability to manage multiple accounts and client needs at the same time
  • Have proficiency with a CRM software and are ready and willing to learn new systems
  • Have business acumen, are deeply analytical, and comfortable understanding and manipulating data to gain and take action on business insights

Responsibilities

  • Deeply understand our end-to-end sales process and collaborate with the team to bring high-potential sellers to Whatnot
  • Become the go-to expert on how SMBs, primarily sellers with an online presence, can scale their business with Whatnot
  • Source and prospect sellers, securing initial discovery and onboarding calls
  • Lead sales calls with seller prospects, primarily over video and phone calls, overcoming objections and effectively communicating Whatnot’s value proposition
  • Closing sellers, ultimately onboarding them onto the platform, and setting them up for success
  • Utilizing key data points to assess seller growth, success, and areas for improvement to drive continuous iteration
  • Collaborating with internal partners to develop business growth strategies and communicate product improvements and feedback

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have experience at a high-growth startup, marketplace, or creator-focused platform
  • Have proficiency in Airtable and Salesforce
  • Have a passion for creator communities and/or new product categories that are uniquely suited to live ecommerce
  • Have experience buying and selling in online marketplaces
