Summary
Join Newsela's national sales team as a School Sales Representative, building relationships with school decision-makers and selling Newsela's educational products. This remote role involves managing the sales lifecycle, forecasting, and understanding your territory's educational landscape. You'll own your territory, build new business, and contribute to Newsela's growth. The role requires experience selling SaaS products and navigating multiple stakeholders. A competitive compensation package includes base salary, commission, and stock options, along with comprehensive benefits.
Requirements
- Have 1+ years hitting or exceeding your quota of selling SaaS products
- Demonstrate expertise in seamlessly navigating multiple stakeholders to engineer the right solution for each customer
- Take a high volume / transactional approach to sales, and have proven experience building a book of business
- Be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can drive sales quickly to a close
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with key decision makers at the school level
- Sell Newsela’s suite of products to bring engaging reading content to schools in your territory
- Manage pipeline management and forecasting
- Manage sales through the entire lifecycle
- Become well-versed in your territory’s funding, state initiatives, demographics, and K-12 education landscape
- Inform your overall sales strategy based on territory knowledge
Preferred Qualifications
Have been a teacher at one point, or have a good grasp of pedagogy and can truly help connect the challenges in the classroom to the solutions Newsela is building
