Summary

Join Aretum as a proactive and dedicated Scrum Master on a contingent basis. You will guide Agile teams to improve processes, enhance productivity, and ensure successful project delivery. This role requires organizing Scrum ceremonies, training team members on agile practices, managing backlogs and artifacts in Azure DevOps, tracking project progress, and providing leadership updates. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree, CSM certification, and 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar agile certification
  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role within technology or engineering sectors
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively across diverse teams
  • Proven experience managing Scrum ceremonies for enterprise engineering teams

Responsibilities

  • Organize, conduct, and schedule all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Train and coach team members on agile processes, methods, and tasks to ensure consistent understanding and application of agile practices
  • Maintain and groom the backlogs for various projects, facilitating thorough and productive backlog grooming sessions
  • Manage agile artifacts within Azure DevOps, ensuring all project tracking and documentation are up-to-date and accurately reflect project status
  • Track progress towards project delivery goals and provide leadership with high-level summaries and updates on project progress

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tools for planning and tracking in an agile workflow
  • Experience in training teams and individuals on agile methodologies and best practices
