Summary

The job is for a Scrum Master position in a software development team, responsible for leading Agile processes and ensuring predictable delivery of software releases. The ideal candidate should have first level Scrum Master certification, experience playing the Scrum Master role, excellent communication skills, organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and adaptability to rapid change.

Requirements

  • First level Scrum Master certification (PSM I, CSM)
  • Experience playing the Scum Master role for a software development team
  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
  • Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)
  • The ability to distinguish between what 'is Scrum' what is 'not Scrum
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS)
  • 2-4 years of experience as a CSM
  • Ability to synthesize complex concepts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Exceptional interpersonal and teamwork skills. Capable of understanding a broad range of viewpoints and building consensus
  • Ability to multi‐task in a fast‐paced organization
  • Flexibility and adaptability to rapid change
  • Positive attitude and sense of humor

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Agile process for one or more Scrum teams, ensuring predictable delivery of software releases within scope
  • Serve and support the Product Owner and Development Team in their quest to delight customers
  • Provide all support to the team using a servant leadership style and leading by example
  • Guide and Coach the Scrum Team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers
  • Guide and Coach the Scrum Team on how to get the most out of self-organization
  • Guide and Coach the Scrum Team on self-organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering healthcare products preferred
  • Agile software development experience preferred
