Summary
Join a dynamic team as a Sales Development Manager to lead and mentor a team of 5β6 Commercial SDRs. This player-coach role involves managing daily operations, refining outreach strategies, and supporting reps in exceeding pipeline targets. You will collaborate with marketing and sales leadership, aligning on revenue goals. The ideal candidate is data-driven, collaborative, and passionate about developing others, possessing strong outbound prospecting skills and thriving in a performance-based environment. Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as an SDR or in a similar role within a B2B SaaS environment, ideally focused on outbound prospecting
- Strong track record of hitting or exceeding pipeline generation targets
- Skilled in outbound sales techniques
- Proficient in Salesforce and familiar with sales engagement platforms (e.g., Outreach and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Comfortable using data to coach performance and inform decisions
- Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
- Motivated by team success, personal development, and high standards
Responsibilities
- Coach and Lead: Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of SDRs responsible for outbound pipeline generation for the commercial segment
- Drive Results: Monitor key SDR KPIs (e.g., activities, meetings booked, opportunities created), identify gaps, and implement performance improvement plans as needed
- Refine Outreach Strategy: Support SDRs in optimizing cold calling, email sequencing, and social prospecting to improve engagement and conversion rates
- Pipeline Collaboration: Partner with sales and marketing to align on ideal customer profiles (ICPs), messaging, and campaign strategy
- Onboarding and Development: Lead onboarding for new SDRs and build continuous enablement plans to ensure team success
- Reporting: Track and analyze team performance metrics using Salesforce and sales engagement tools; present insights and progress to the Director of SDRs
- Act as a Player-Coach: Occasionally prospect and engage directly with leads to demonstrate best practices and contribute to team goals
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree preferred but not required
- Previous experience mentoring or managing SDRs is highly preferred
