Summary

Join CARTO as a Senior Account Manager for the United States and Canada! You will focus on customer retention and renewals, working with Enterprise Customer Success Managers to drive growth in existing accounts. Leverage your knowledge of relevant verticals and industry relationships to shape strategy and product development. Successfully renew contracts, upsell, and navigate complex organizational processes. Maintain strong client relationships, deliver results through team collaboration, and provide valuable feedback to improve our products. This role requires a strong analytical mind, excellent communication skills, and proven negotiation experience in SaaS sales.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software sales, account management, or renewals manager capacity for a SaaS, data, or cloud product preferably focused on the data analytics or geospatial space
  • A sharp, analytical mind, and a track record of building strong, functional relationships with clients. You are detailed and results-oriented with the ability to prioritize, plan, and execute a range of key activities
  • Collaborative mindset and eagerness to thrive in a flexible, fluid operating environment
  • Persistence in exploring and uncovering the business needs of key clients
  • Top-notch communication skills in English and Spanish, with the ability to convey the value of CARTO to our clients
  • Demonstrated track record of negotiation skills with a special focus on closing

Responsibilities

  • Successfully renew over 85% of the contracts within the assigned book of business on a quarterly basis using outstanding negotiation skills
  • Successfully upsell and expand over 25% within the assigned book of business on a quarterly basis
  • Ability to navigate complex organizations and procurement processes.Β Forecast accurately growth and retention metrics and close track of key account metrics
  • Maintain an excellent and thorough knowledge of our products and services and how these can bring value to our clients
  • Gain a good understanding of the client’s business, needs, expectations, and requirements
  • Manage and cultivate positive relationships to successfully retain and grow clients
  • Deliver results through managing other teams involved in the client’s success
  • Educate and engage key contacts at the customer to ensure the customer is getting maximum value from their relationship with CARTO
  • Provide feedback to our Product and other teams to help inform future directions in our product development
  • Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional languages are a plus
  • Experience doing business in multiple countries is a plus
