Requirements
- CPA designation required
- Proven experience as a Fractional CFO, Controller, or Senior Financial Consultant
- Experience in trust accounting, health insurance finance, or related industries
- Strong understanding of GAAP, regulatory compliance, and risk management
- Ability to work remotely with cross-functional teams
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
- Strong proficiency in C-suite financial tools and systems
- Excellent communication skills and strong personality for leadership and collaboration
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic financial oversight tailored to trust management and health insurance operations
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to ensure profitability and regulatory compliance
- Manage financial reporting, audits, and tax filings related to trusts and healthcare entities
- Assist in cash flow management, investment strategies, and risk assessment
- Advise leadership on regulatory compliance and requirements specific to trust management and health insurance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes and achieve cost efficiencies
- Reconcile financial data to ensure accuracy and timely reporting
- Support tax planning, filings, and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with PEO firms, insurance providers, or financial trusts
- Knowledge of ERP systems and financial automation tools
- Background in multiple employer trusts, especially those formed under IRS Section 419A (health insurance trusts)
