Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
  • 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a high-growth startup, consumer technology, or e-commerce environment
  • Previous experience in public accounting
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with all levels of management
  • Highly motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving business environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes
  • Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and classified
  • Perform monthly sales to cash receipts reconciliation
  • Perform monthly fulfillment information to sales order for revenue recognition
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including bank accounts, inventory, and accruals
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal policies
  • Support external audits and tax filings by providing necessary documentation and reports
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of internal controls and best practices
  • Prepare cash burn reporting semi-monthly
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Support inventory accounting, cost analysis, and revenue recognition
  • Collaborate with FP&A, operations, and other teams to provide financial insights and support business decisions
  • Utilize and optimize ERP and accounting software (Netsuite experience preferred)
  • Support automation initiatives to streamline accounting workflows
