Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a high-growth startup, consumer technology, or e-commerce environment
- Previous experience in public accounting
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and advanced proficiency in Excel
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with all levels of management
- Highly motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving business environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and classified
- Perform monthly sales to cash receipts reconciliation
- Perform monthly fulfillment information to sales order for revenue recognition
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including bank accounts, inventory, and accruals
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal policies
- Support external audits and tax filings by providing necessary documentation and reports
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations
- Assist in the development and enforcement of internal controls and best practices
- Prepare cash burn reporting semi-monthly
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Support inventory accounting, cost analysis, and revenue recognition
- Collaborate with FP&A, operations, and other teams to provide financial insights and support business decisions
- Utilize and optimize ERP and accounting software (Netsuite experience preferred)
- Support automation initiatives to streamline accounting workflows
