Summary
Join FOLX Health as a Senior Accountant and assume responsibility for the day-to-day accounts payable tasks, month-end processes, financial statement preparation, payroll, and revenue cycle management. This role demands a detail-oriented and analytical individual capable of handling complex accounting guidance. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, perform variance analyses, and manage the accounts payable cycle. Additional responsibilities include 1099 reporting, client invoicing, EMR transaction entry, and bank reconciliations. The ideal candidate possesses 3+ years of accounting experience and a bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience). A CPA certification is preferred.
Requirements
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Bachelorβs degree in accounting or business related field preferred; additional years of accounting experience can be substituted in lieu of degree
- The ability to shift and scale from transactional-level work into more complex analytical and project-based tasks
- Experience with Microsoft Office products, including advanced Excel; experience using Excel for Mac a plus
- Experience with NetSuite or other accounting software
- Strong organizational, time management, communication and prioritization skills
- Ability to complete detail-oriented tasks within strict deadlines with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to be a team player, who can also work independently
Responsibilities
- Prepare and record complex journal entries, such as prepaid amortization, accrued expenses, and advanced intercompany journals
- Record and reconcile revenue recognition and deferred revenue in accordance with ASC 606
- Prepare Account Reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts and investigate any discrepancies
- Perform variance analyses and provide insights into account detail to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial statements
- Own the accounts payable cycle by maintaining vendor records, collecting and entering vendor invoices, submitting vendor invoices for payment, processing and reconciling corporate cards, and processing employee reimbursements
- Lead annual 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC compliance reporting
- Review client contracts and generate fixed fee and engagement-based invoices, and collect and apply client payments
- Enter and reconcile patient financial transactions in our EMR system
- Process payroll for both clinical and administrative staff, by ensuring accuracy and completeness of hours, earnings and deductions
- Prepare bank reconciliations for all bank accounts in multiple entities
- Other responsibilities as assigned
