Summary
Join Halcyon, a leading cybersecurity company, as a remote-native Accountant. You will play a key role in the month-end close process, preparing journal entries and account reconciliations. Ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting, adhering to GAAP. Responsibilities include recording credit card activity, reviewing prepaids and fixed assets, and working with other finance teams. You will assist in preparing financial statements and investigating account fluctuations. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance and 3-4 years of G/L experience. Requirements
- Bachelorβs Degree in Accounting / Finance, with a minimum 3-4 years of G/L experience
- Able to work independently, as well as with a group
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective problem-solving capabilities
- Must have clear and thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations as part of the month end close process
- Ensure that journal entries, account reconciliations and other analyses are prepared in a complete, accurate and timely manner and that financial information is recorded in accordance with GAAP
- Record credit card activity and employee reimbursements to correct accounts and departments
- Review bills recorded as prepaids and fixed assets for accuracy and modify as needed
- Record cash activity throughout the month
- Work with those responsible for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and FP&A functions as necessary to prepare JEs or address inquiries
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and investigation of account fluctuations
- Perform other routine and non-routine functions as assigned by management
