Senior Accountant

Summary

Join MANTL, a fast-growing remote FinTech SaaS company, as a Senior Accountant - Revenue. You will lead the revenue close process, support the quote-to-cash cycle, implement financial and billing processes for new products, and assist with SOX compliance. This role requires collaboration with various teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition. The ideal candidate possesses a BA/BS in Accounting or Finance, CPA certification or equivalent experience, and strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606. Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• CPA certification or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of progressively responsible experience at either a Big 4 public accounting firm or a global, publicly traded high-tech organization
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, primarily revenue recognition (ASC 606) as it applies to cloud software revenue and usage-based revenue
• Attention to detail and experience multitasking and prioritizing to deliver impact in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills (oral and written) and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels at the company
• Strong Excel skills

Responsibilities

• Lead the revenue close process for the MANTL business segment, including the preparation of general ledger entries, reconciliations, and the accurate presentation of financial statements
• Support the quote-to-cash cycle by reviewing billing runs and researching invoicing issues
• Own the implementation of financial and billing processes related to new products and revenue streams to ensure the Company’s revenue recognition is accurate and in compliance with ASC 606
• Assist with revenue SOX compliance and ensure SOX requirements are met for relevant areas as well as participate in the annual audit and quarterly reviews performed by our auditors
• Ad hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
• Prepare accurate and timely reports
• Apply accounting principles to analyze financial information
• Ensure appropriate accounting control procedures
