Requirements

  • Experience: 6+ years in accounting, with hands-on experience in financial reporting, audit preparation, and general ledger management. Experience in technology or blockchain industries is a plus
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA or CA certification is a must
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS standards and experience with multi-jurisdictional compliance, particularly relevant for US and EU markets
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting, enabling efficient financial operations
  • Attention to Detail & Ownership: A high level of attention to detail, an ownership mindset, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, especially suited for a startup environment
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex financial matters clearly. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Accounting and Financial Reporting: Lead financial reporting efforts in line with GAAP/IFRS compliance, managing month-end close, account reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Review and Finalize Journal Entries: Review, and approve journal entries related to revenue, expenses, in fiat and crypto, and token-based activity, maintaining precise and well-documented records
  • Token Accounting and RTU Management: Manage accounting for token transactions, including Restricted Token Units (RTU) tracking and preparing for token unlock events, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards
  • Audit and Compliance: Coordinate annual audits, implement financial controls, and uphold tax and regulatory compliance across the US, EU, and other regions
  • Systems and Process Optimization: Manage financial systems, identify process improvements, and enhance data management and reporting
  • Financial Planning and Analysis Support: Collaborate with the VP of Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, leveraging your ability to communicate complex financial matters clearly and contribute to strategic initiatives
