Senior Accountant

Summary

The Senior Accountant role at Percona involves managing the global financial close process, accounts payable, credit card program administration, and more. The candidate should have relevant experience and qualifications in accounting and SaaS solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years general ledger experience in a Staff or Senior position
• 3+ years SaaS solutions experience ( Bill.com , Expensify, Intacct)
• Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business related field
• Proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets

Responsibilities

• Ensure books are closed in 4 days
• Maintain prepaid schedules in accordance with contract/invoice terms and record related amortization
• Roll forward fixed asset registers for additions and disposals, and record related depreciation and any gain/loss; liaise with Business Services for annual inventory audit
• Reconcile intercompany balances and record entries as needed
• Accrue for accounts payable and expense reports post-cutoff
• Ensure recurring accruals are posted throughout the year
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for 5 legal entities
• Review results against budget to help identify variances to plan and/or errors
• Manage accounts payable
• Administer the Company’s credit card program
• Monitor bank accounts daily and post transactional entries to the GL
• Support annual financial and statutory audits
• Assist with tax information requests and compliance projects
• Serve as a functional backup for team members by cross-training on accounts receivable, cash receipts, equity administration, order entry and payroll
• Seek improvements to the finance department’s technology stack and process workflows
