Join us on our mission to reverse diabetes in 100 million people as a Senior Accountant, responsible for preparing journal entries, analyses and account reconciliations, maintaining month-end close processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and assisting with the annual financial statement audit.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in accounting or finance
- 3-4 years of experience preferably with a public accounting/private accounting mix
- CPA preferred
- Experience with one or more complex areas of accounting including but not limited to revenue recognition, inventory, stock-based compensation, debt/equity financing, business combinations or investments
- Ability to read and analyze financial statements/reports
- Comfort with ambiguity and lack of formally defined processes
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Highly organized and detail oriented
Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries, analyses and account reconciliations
- Help maintain and improve month-end close processes, including monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with GAAP
- Respond to information requests and assist with the annual financial statement audit - including project management related aspects of the audit
- Analyze financial statements and GL accounts to ensure monthly, quarterly and annual fluctuations are in line with expectations and documented
- Prepare operational and ad hoc reporting for additional analysis associated with financial statement areas assigned
- Assist the accounting manager, director of accounting, and controller as needed
