Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in accounting or finance
- 3-4 years of relevant experience, preferably with a mix of public accounting and industry experience
- Deep understanding of ASC 606 and complex revenue arrangements
- Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and analyze financial contracts and statements
- Proven track record in implementing or improving automated solutions, including exposure to AI-enabled tools
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and revenue accounting tools (e.g., NetSuite, Zuora, or similar)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote-first environment
- Highly organized and detail oriented
Responsibilities
- Own a portion of the revenue close process, including preparation of revenue-related journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement analyses
- Ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 and internal policy
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Strategic Finance, Legal, and Operations to ensure contracts and amendments are properly evaluated and accounted for
- Support the implementation and enhancement of systems and processes that automate revenue recognition
- Support the preparation of audit documentation and support external auditors during quarterly reviews and the annual audit
- Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue fluctuations, ensuring completeness and accuracy of results
- Provide ad hoc analyses and reporting to support strategic decision making
- Drive continuous process improvements with a focus on scale, automation, and integration of artificial intelligence where appropriate
- Assist the Accounting team as needed with ad hoc tasks and projects
- Take full ownership of a portion of the revenue recognition process, including related controls and documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the revenue cycle is fully understood and appropriately supported
- Contribute to the implementation of automation tools and artificial intelligence to streamline revenue accounting and billing operations
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA preferred
- Prior experience supporting revenue operations or quote-to-cash processes in a SaaS or healthcare setting preferred
