Summary

Join Braze as a Revenue Accountant and play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of billing and revenue. Maintain quality reviews in a high-volume transactional environment, perform month-end reconciliations, and assist with financial audits and SOX compliance. Collaborate with various teams to ensure data accuracy across systems. Work in a fast-paced setting, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines. Lead quarterly and year-end audits and serve as a point of contact for external auditors. Ensure timely completion of monthly/quarterly close procedures and maintain SOX compliance. This role requires a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience, familiarity with ASC 606 and SOX compliance, and excellent communication skills.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience (mix of public accounting and/or SaaS industry experience)
  • Familiarity with ASC 606 and SOX compliance requirements
  • Experience with reading and interpreting contractual language
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet tight timelines; able to manage multiple priorities
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace

Responsibilities

  • Review and approval of billing and revenue accuracy of sales orders being entered into financial systems
  • Maintain quality reviews in a high volume transactional environment
  • Perform month end reconciliations and reviews between all revenue cycle systems
  • Assist with financial audits and SOX compliance
  • Work with deal desk/sales/legal to ensure accuracy in various systems across the Business
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities and adhere to tight deadlines
  • Help lead the quarterly & year end audits and be a point of contact for our external auditors
  • Ensure timely completion of monthly/quarterly close procedures
  • Assist in maintaining SOX compliance in their respective processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in Salesforce (or any similar CRM), NetSuite and/or Zuora is preferred
  • Ability to undertake other ad hoc analyses and special projects as required
