This position requires a Top Secret clearance and significant experience in air defense operations. A Bachelor's degree is required, and a Master's degree is preferred.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret Clearance is required
  • Bachelor's degree necessary; Masterโ€™s degree preferred
  • Must have substantial experience at the NAF level, with AFFOR or MAJCOM Staff experience desired
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 3 years in AOC positions such as Combat Operations Duty Officer or similar roles culminating as SODO or CCO
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Offensive Operations Team Mentor or in an AOC Combat Ops Instructor role
  • Experience working with AOD, ATO, ACO, and SPINS for at least 5 years
  • Proficiency with operational level Air Power Command and Control Systems, with a minimum of 3 years dedicated experience
  • Familiarity with TBMCS is required
  • Participation in at least 5 AOC exercises or large-scale training events as various key roles or as a member of the AOC white/replication cell
  • Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Pro needed

Responsibilities

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in air operations, specifically within the Air Operations Center (AOC), managing theater air and missile defense through effective command and control
  • Coordinate with various defense personnel and agencies, including Air Battle Managers and the Theater Missile Defense Officer (TMDO), to adaptively respond to evolving threats
  • Ensure communication and coordination are maintained across all subordinate command and control facilities
  • Oversee the execution of theater ballistic missile warnings and responses while assessing enemy threats and optimizing air defense resources
  • Collaborate with tactical elements (e.g., AWACS, CRC) to ensure comprehensive radar coverage and air defense capabilities
