Join Allbirds' Supply Chain Planning team as a Senior Analyst in San Francisco (remote, Western Time Zone). You will own various product categories, managing demand forecasting, pricing, production, and supply planning. Responsibilities include owning product launches, developing long-term demand forecasts, publishing production plans, managing the monthly open-to-buy cycle, and partnering with the Asia Operations team. You will also monitor product supply versus sales, maintain optimal inventory, work with the Logistics team on product delivery, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with large datasets, and excellent communication. You will contribute to improving planning capabilities and processes, including using and enhancing the Anaplan system.
Requirements
- BA/BS or equivalent, preferably with quantitative focus
- 4+ years in an analytical role like product, merchandise or inventory planning
- Exceptional analytical capabilities and quick decision-making skills
- Strategic mindset, you are comfortable working with numbers, and you are detail oriented when it comes to tactical execution
- Excellent communication skills, adept at grasping new concepts and collaborating across teams
- Expert in Microsoft Office/GSuite with experience
Responsibilities
- Own and fully manage various product categories including demand forecasting, pricing, production forecasting, supply and capacity planning, factory and internal communication
- Own product launches end-to-end from inception to execution across products, color refreshes and channels
- Develop long-term demand forecasts in collaboration with Finance, Analytics, Ecommerce, Retail, and Marketing teams
- Publish production plans and purchase orders to factories after reviewing production capacity, operational constraints, material availability, customer demand, and inputs from regional and retail teams
- Help manage the monthly cross-functional open to buy planning cycle, driving alignment with all key stakeholders
- Partner with our Asia Operations team (in Vietnam) to develop and align on material forecasts in a timely manner to ensure we can achieve critical production and product launch dates
- Continually monitor product supply vs. customer sales, and perform supply and demand analysis to maximize sales, and support replenishment/chase and new launch buys
- Maintain optimal channel inventory through the various stages of the product lifecycle; act as the central point of contact for all supply chain matters for new product launches
- Work closely with our Logistics team to ensure products are arriving by their intended launch dates while balancing freight expenses and overall margin
- Partner with cross-functional product teams to develop and communicate key deadlines for launches based on product lead times and critical milestones in go-to-market process that impact supply chain planning
- Analyze data to share product performance and key insights with cross-functional teams that can be used to evolve product assortments and influence future merchandising decisions
- Serve as a key point of contact for global manufacturing partners and regional planning teams
- Build and evolve our planning capabilities, tools and processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy as we scale. This includes being an integral part of using and enhancing our internal planning system, Anaplan; with the goal of becoming a subject matter expert to overall improve efficiency on the planning team
Preferred Qualifications
- Anaplan experience preferred
- Proficient in Excel with advanced modeling skills; experience in retail planning a plus
