Senior Application Management Engineer

Requirements

• Knowledge of operating systems such as Windows, Linux, or Unix
• Basic knowledge with databases like SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL
• Familiarity with application servers like Apache, Tomcat
• Proficiency with ITSM tools and processes, such as ServiceNow Jira Service Management, and a solid understanding of ITIL practices for managing and delivering IT services
• Proficiency in German (B2/C1) and English, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Incident Management: Respond to and resolve application-related incidents within agreed service levels, including performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term fixes
• Application Monitoring: Monitor the performance and health of applications, using tools to identify and address issues proactively before they impact users
• User Support: Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting issues, and guide them through problem-solving processes
• Team collaboration: Work closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure applications are aligned with business needs and meet service-level agreements
• Security Compliance : Ensure that applications comply with security standards and policies, including managing user access controls and performing security assessments

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with application deployment processes, including CI/CD pipelines, release management, with tools like Gitlab, Jenkins (CB Flow) ensuring smooth transitions from development to production

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, Grafana, or similar
• Basic Google Cloud knowledge
