Senior Backend Engineer in United States

Summary

The job is for a Backend Engineer at SixMap, a cybersecurity company that uses high performance computing to automate cybersecurity. Requirements

• Expertise in at least one high-level programming language, with the opportunity to learn and utilize Python, Kotlin, and JVM languages
• Experience working in distributed systems
• Expertise with API design, implementation, versioning
• Comfort working with a variety of data storage systems and approaches. Experience working with SQL for both transactional and analytical workloads
• Comfort working with best practices for cloud-native applications and services offered by major cloud providers

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the services we use internally and externally to manage the full lifecycle, access, enrichment, and transformation of our collected data and user signals/input
• Integrate our software with external APIs and services to speed our users’ time to action and augment their existing workflows

• Strong communication skills and comfort in working in a fast-growing environment
• Strong ownership over your domain and being able to uplift the broader engineering organization through knowledge sharing and documentation
