Senior Brand Copywriter

Summary

Join Canva's International Marketing team as a Senior Copywriter and help shape the brand's voice in Latin America. This 6-month contract role offers remote work flexibility. You will collaborate with a team to create compelling copy for various mediums, including campaigns, product launches, and events. The ideal candidate possesses proven experience in creating content for diverse platforms, a strong portfolio showcasing advertising and branding work, and native-level Portuguese and strong English skills. You will lead campaigns from concept to execution, pitch ideas to senior leaders, and collaborate with external partners. This role requires strategic thinking and the ability to translate big-picture ideas into clear and inspiring copy.

Requirements

• Have proven experience creating for TV, digital, social media, OOH, and performance marketing
• Have a creative mind with a proven track record of developing original ideas and bringing them to life with care and attention to detail
• Have a portfolio of diverse work that spans advertising and branding
• Your strategic thinking helps you uncover problems, identify insights, and turn them into powerful creative concepts
• Have a love for writing copy that’s thoughtful, meaningful, clear, inspiring, and—when needed—provocative
• Have Native-level Portuguese and strong English skills (we’re a global team, so English will be part of your every day)

Responsibilities

• Write, review, and dream up ideas for Canva’s brand, product, and performance campaigns
• Lead campaigns from the initial idea to final execution, always staying true to Canva’s brand and strategy
• Confidently pitch concepts and present your work to senior creative leaders, product marketers, and key stakeholders with a clear creative vision and strategic reasoning
• Collaborate with external partners, sharing guidance and feedback to keep messaging consistent and high-quality
• Work closely with the Creative Director to ensure schedules are accurate and realistic and that deadlines are met
