Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of copywriting experience, with a focus on brand storytelling and digital content strategy
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating high-caliber writing skills in English and the ability to generate persuasive copy across various formats
  • Experience creating, maintaining, and/or revising brand style guides
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, Communications, or related field
  • Proven work experience as a copywriter in SaaS company or ad agency
  • Proven results with A/B or multivariate copy testing
  • Successful conversion copywriter and experienced in providing copy for performance campaigns
  • Ability to define and incorporate target audience demographics: be adept at varying the voice, style, and other characteristics of messaging based on the industry, persona and marketing channel itโ€™s being executed on
  • A strategic thinker with a curious perspective โ€“ the kind of person who finds the better way amid established norms
  • An independent voice who utilizes team dynamics โ€“ you offer help where you have expertise and seek help where you donโ€™t
  • Excellent understanding of SEO, content categorization, and structure, content development, distribution, and measurement
  • Strong research skills along with creativity
  • Always a collaborative spirit with exceptional communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Brand Marketing & Community team in crafting and developing the brand voice & messaging
  • Develop guidelines, style guides, and training processes to ensure that all departments are following brand standards & tone of voice
  • Craft, maintain, and evolve our brand narratives, ensuring they are compelling and aligned with our business goals
  • Establish and guide the brandโ€™s voice across all content and communications, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints
  • Act as a mentor to junior copywriters and other content creators, guiding them in best practices and helping to elevate their work
  • Raise the bar continually for writing SEO-friendly fresh persuasive copy that connects with a desired audience and drives action
  • Interpret copywriting briefs and project requirements into messaging
  • Audit and refine existing web copy, identifying opportunities to improve clarity, storytelling, and tone of the site
  • Create, review/proofread website copy, landing pages, paid advertising copy, email sequences, blasts, newsletters, presentations, product descriptions, tag lines, social media content, and video scripts
  • Contribute to articles for our blog or third-party websites. Conduct high-quality content research and interviews
  • Understand the SaaS product itself. Translate complex features into clear language
  • Generate innovative and persuasive copy for a variety of campaigns across multiple platforms, tailored to meet the needs and speak directly to our customer personas
  • Collaborate with designers, project managers, and marketers on multiple projects
  • Regularly analyze and report on the impact of copy and campaigns, using data to improve future messaging strategies
  • Use SEO principles to maximize copyโ€™s reach and ensure content is optimized for search engines and conversion

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the e-learning or educational technology industry is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Working knowledge of Clearscope and Ahrefs is a huge plus
