Requirements

  • 2–4 years of demonstrated success in roles like investment banking, management consulting, accounting, startups, or other strategy/operations positions
  • Working experience with SaaS startups (experience with capital raising is a plus). Strong understanding of SaaS business models, sales motions, and key financial metrics, with the ability to identify and support growth opportunities
  • Proficiency in core accounting concepts, Excel/Google Sheets and SQL with experience in data visualization tools (e.g., BigQuery, Looker, Metabase) to turn data into actionable insights
  • Skilled in financial modeling with hands-on experience building budgets, projections, and forecasts from scratch in a high-growth environment
  • Curiosity to tease out a story from the numbers and to prove or disprove business strategies and tactics using financial analysis
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment - organizing proactively, focusing on key priorities and adapting when required
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex ideas in a simple & easy-to-understand way for any audience
  • An ownership mentality with a clear bias for action and an ability to act both collaboratively and autonomously while taking ownership and accountability for your work

Responsibilities

  • Support the organization with budget management, forecasting, data-driven analysis, and headcount planning
  • Improve financial visibility, control, and planning effectiveness through scalable processes, in collaboration with accounting and business teams
  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Operations and Product teams to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives. Facilitate alignment on revenue goals, resource allocation, and strategies to maximize ROI and drive sustainable growth
  • Lead the Finance section of the quarterly Board package and manage streamlined monthly and quarterly reporting for the Executive team, Board, and investors. Provide key insights into financial performance to inform strategic decisions and enhance transparency
  • Develop and spearhead a process that supports the dynamic modeling of our revenue, as well as departmental operating budget that drive accountability into the business and provide a reliable base for budgeting and cash forecasting
  • Establish and monitor key financial performance indicators, aligning them with company OKRs, and communicate progress to stakeholders
  • Support various finance and operations initiatives, partnering with teams on high-priority strategic projects to deliver meaningful and measurable value across the company
