Senior Business Analyst

Summary

Join Version 1, a leading technology services company, and work on a discovery project with a key public sector client. Collaborate with a User Researcher and other UCD consultants to prioritize BA activities, lead workshops and interviews, conduct current state analysis, and document findings. Define future state options, collaborate with business and technical teams, and identify key constraints. Contribute to the Discovery business case and ensure alignment with Business Requirements Specification documents. Requirements

• Business Analysis experience in discovery or early project phases
• Proven track record in producing high-quality Business Requirements Documents, Business Processes Mapping and documentation skills
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate business needs into structured outputs
• Agile Delivery experience and has working within an Agile delivery team
• Digital or Application Modernisation Project experience
• Experience in reviewing Functional Specification Documents produced by peers (Peer Review) to ensure they align with Business Requirements Specification documents
• Good project management skills with the ability to plan and schedule own work and work towards tight deadlines
• Excellent communication skills — be able to explain complicated processes and concepts to non-experts

Responsibilities

• Prioritise BA activities with the Project Manager to maximise value
• Lead workshops and interviews to gather business and user requirements
• Conduct current state analysis and define future state options
• Document findings, process maps, and improvement opportunities
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to define scope and success criteria
• Identify key constraints, dependencies, and assumptions
• Contribute to the Discovery business case to support project progression to the next phase
