Summary

Join GoDaddy's Business Analytics team as a data-driven analyst to contribute to the company's growth. You will leverage your analytical skills, SQL expertise, and data visualization abilities to build datasets, craft recommendations, and create insightful dashboards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, act as a product owner for key datasets, and champion data quality and usability. Communicate data stories effectively to executive leadership and advance data practices through innovation. Make a significant impact by driving business decisions through data-informed insights and solutions. This is a remote position based in India, with occasional office visits.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Python or R is required for performing statistical analysis, data manipulation, and building analytical workflows
  • Strong data querying and technical skills with advanced SQL expertise (a must), experience working with large datasets, and familiarity with AWS/Redshift and Alation
  • Expertise in timely engineering to perform complex analytical tasks and derive insights efficiently
  • Skilled in data visualization and BI tools such as Tableau, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) to present data effectively
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills needed to explain complex analyses, work globally, navigate technical and business conversations, and spot data discrepancies and key tasks
  • A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, etc. or equivalent experience is required
  • 5+ years in technical role in corporate setting OR Master’s degree or equivalent experience in quantitative field with 3+ years technical experience

Responsibilities

  • Drive business impact through data by understanding GoDaddy’s objectives, translating them into analytical requirements, delivering insights and recommendations, and crafting high-value datasets for decision-making
  • Act as a product owner for key datasets, managing their roadmap, documentation, and continuous improvement in line with analytics and product strategies
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to capture and prioritize data needs, craft scalable data models, and define clear data contract standards between producers and consumers
  • Partner with Data Engineering to ensure robust dataset design, maintain quality standards, resolve data issues, and implement effective monitoring and documentation practices (including SLAs)
  • Advance data practices and innovation by identifying standard methodologies for improving data quality and discovery, while guiding a team of analysts in scaling standard processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with large datasets and experience in AWS/Redshift, Alation is a plus
  • Familiarity with analytical techniques, including trend analysis, forecasting, regression, and experiment design (A/B tests) and analysis
  • Familiarity with ETL implementation and maintenance and a working understanding of schema design and dimensional data modeling
