Summary
Join MAS Global as a Business Systems Analyst and help define and deliver solutions that meet business objectives. You will serve as a liaison between the business and IT, working with various teams to understand requirements and guide development. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, experience with Agile methodologies, and a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business analysis. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience with business analysis and business process mapping in a hybrid and/or Agile development environment for digital and e-commerce solutions
- Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in using appropriate tools: Agile Project Management tools such as Jira or equivalent , Microsoft Project, Visio, and all Office Tools
- Strong problem solving, analysis and communication skills, both verbal and written in English and Spanish
Responsibilities
- Work in continuous delivery mode, analyzing and delivering features iteratively
- Consistently demonstrate Agile and waterfall processes and principles for effective delivery
- Consistently demonstrate Lean principles for efficient delivery
- Work with the Product Owners and Project Managers on defining the project’s detailed scope
- Responsible for creating, refining and maintaining user stories and associated deliverables such as functional requirement specifications, process flows and test cases to meet development and stakeholder needs
- Responsible for translating legacy system code into requirements
- Work with the Product Owner on the prioritization of the product backlog of user stories
- Work with the Product Owner, BAs, and Quality Assurance Analysts on defining acceptance criteria sufficiently for testing
- Work with the Product Owner to confirm the delivered solution is in fulfillment of the stated requirements
- Default point of contact for IT with the business; brokers contracts between IT and the business resolving client and IT relationship issues
- Elicits and communicates the organization’s business strategy, works directly with business unit clients to understand and draw specific business processes and needs / opportunities for improvement
- Develops IT strategies that meet the needs of the business. Identifies the business benefit of alternative strategies
- Manages and provides expert advice on the selection, design, justification, implementation and business use of information systems to enable CRM/Digital transformation and e-commerce efforts
- Analyzes business processes, elicits, analyzes and documents business requirements; identifies alternative solutions, assesses feasibility and makes recommendations typically seeking to exploit and leverage new or existing IT components
- Translates business requirements into functional requirements, performs data and process modeling, manages change and leads the verification and validation of requirements
- Identifies current and emerging business needs and evaluates alternative IT solutions using standard information systems methodologies and best practices
- Proactively seek out strategic business opportunities with business unit executives for the application of new or existing IT capabilities
- Prepares testing plans to confirm that requirements and system design are accurate and complete
- Develops business relationships and integrates activities with other IT departments to ensure successful implementation and support of project efforts
- Identifies the impact of any relevant statutory, internal or external regulations on the organization’s use of information
- Act as proxy product owner to define business needs in Jira including definition of requirements using Gherkin or equivalent syntax
- Work with the development teams to ensure that the business outcome required is properly understood, negotiating tradeoffs that may be required
- Work with the testing teams to be able to help issue resolution and understand recurring themes that need to be added as requirement into continuous improvement cycles
- Documentation management
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years’ hands on experience using / configuring Digital and e-Commerce solutions such as Adobe Experience Manager or other web content management systems, Magento or other commerce systems, Salesforce.com CRM
- Experience working within a PCI / regulated environment
- Experience handling data privacy requirements such as CCPA or country specific privacy requirements
- Experience with Agile techniques: User Stories, TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Continuous Delivery, Automated Testing
- Expertise with JIRA, Confluence, and the rest of the Atlassian suite and using JIRA's Agile performance metrics to drive accountability and continuous improvement
- Knowledge of other agile methodologies / process improvement methodologies like Kanban
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight
- Detail oriented with a proven ability to self-motivate and follow-through on tasks
