Senior Business Unit Controller / Finance Business Partner, Remote - Germany

Summary

The job is for a Business Unit Controller at CREALOGIX, a global FinTech company. The role involves managing the financial aspects of a Market Unit, financial planning, analysis, and reporting, supporting sales and project teams, and ensuring correct revenue realization among other responsibilities. Qualifications required include a degree in economics with specialization in controlling or a comparable field, at least 5 years of experience in controlling and cost accounting, and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and BI tools.

Requirements

• Completed Bachelor or Master's degree in economics with specialization in controlling or a comparable field
• At least 5 years of experience in the area of Controlling and cost accounting
• Experience in the project environment / software industry is beneficial
• Excellent knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and BI tools like PowerBI
• Good IFRS knowledge, especially in the area of revenue realization (IFRS 15) is desirable
• Self-reliant, proactive, analytical, and results-oriented work style
• Excellent communication skills in German and English

Responsibilities

• Sparring partner for the Business Unit Leader and management team, support in decision-making
• Responsibility for financial planning / -analysis and monthly Market Unit Reporting including Forecast & Budget
• Support and challenge of sales and project teams, oversight of projects and capacity planning
• Project-Controlling: Support in the bid phase with loadable project cost calculation, project management and monitoring, and responsibility for project data
• Responsibility for correct revenue realization according to IFRS 15
• Performing contract reviews and adhering to group guidelines
• Analysis of deviations and derivation of appropriate measures for goal achievement
• Establishment of Controlling-Governance with Deal Desks
• Active participation in the continuous optimization of project and financial processes, as well as operational controlling
