Senior Business Unit Controller / Finance Business Partner, Remote - Germany

Requirements

• Completed Bachelor or Master's degree in Economics with a focus on Controlling or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Controlling and Cost Accounting field
• Experience in the project environment / software industry is beneficial
• Excellent knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and BI tools such as PowerBI
• Good IFRS knowledge, particularly in the area of revenue realization (IFRS 15) is desirable
• Self-reliant, proactive, analytical, and results-oriented work style
• Excellent communication skills in German and English

Responsibilities

• Serve as a sparring partner for the Business Unit Leader and management team, providing support in decision-making
• Responsible for financial planning / analysis and monthly Market Unit Reporting including Forecast & Budget
• Support and challenge the Sales and Project teams, monitor projects and capacity planning
• Project-Controlling: Support in the proposal phase with loadable project cost calculation, project management and monitoring, and responsibility for project data
• Responsible for correct revenue realization according to IFRS 15
• Perform contract reviews and adherence to group guidelines
• Analyze deviations and derive appropriate measures for goal achievement
• Establish Controlling Governance with Deal Desks
• Active participation in the continuous optimization of project and financial processes, as well as operational controlling
