Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in the technology sector in a startup environment
  • Strong working knowledge of AI and the AI industry landscape
  • End-to-end media management experience, including journalist outreach and press engagement
  • Experience collaborating with and managing external PR agencies and holding them accountable for results
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear, compelling messaging
  • Proven ability to work in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, especially in a remote setting
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships across remote teams

Responsibilities

  • Support ongoing media engagement to secure top-tier press coverage
  • Draft and refine press materials, media pitches, and company statements
  • Track journalist interactions and ensure timely follow-ups to maximize media opportunities
  • Monitor industry news and competitive coverage to identify media opportunities
  • Research and identify relevant industry awards and recognitions that align with Turing’s positioning
  • Manage the end-to-end application process, including drafting award submissions and coordinating supporting materials
  • Work cross-functionally with leadership and marketing to ensure timely and compelling submissions
  • Maintain a calendar of award deadlines and track wins and nominations for internal reporting
  • Support media opportunities for CEO and other executives by coordinating interviews and preparing briefing materials
  • Work with the agency to draft bylined articles and op-eds, ensuring alignment with company messaging
  • Prepare talking points, Q&A materials, and key messaging for media engagements
  • Coordinate with the Head of Communications to swiftly address emerging risks
  • Monitor public sentiment and flag any reputational risks to leadership
  • Manage day-to-day collaboration with the public relations agency partner, ensuring deliverables align with business goals
  • Review and refine news releases, media pitches, and campaign strategies proposed by the agency
  • Hold the agency accountable for results, tracking performance and media impact
  • Provide internal updates on communications efforts, summarizing coverage, trends, and upcoming opportunities
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing counterparts, sales and product teams to ensure messaging consistency
  • Track media coverage and agency performance, compiling reports to assess impact
