Summary

Join Stream Realty Partners as a Senior Corporate Accountant and assume responsibility for the full-cycle accounting and reporting of assigned corporate entities. Deliver timely and accurate financial reports to reviewers and Stream Partners. Assist Corporate Accounting leadership with various tasks and ad-hoc requests. This hybrid position offers a flexible work schedule with two days in the office for those near the Dallas headquarters. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required
  • Full-cycle accounting experience required
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant large corporate accounting experience is required
  • Independent ability to perform calculations and book entries required
  • Knowledge of GAAP required
  • Proficiency in MS Excel required
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills; Ability to communicate with leadership required
  • High attention to detail and ability to work with a large amount of financial data required
  • Able to exhibit high level of confidentiality required
  • A positive, proactive attitude
  • Desire to work in a cooperative, productive teamwork environment and willingness to share information with co-workers as appropriate

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the month-end close process for assigned entities, including preparation of journal entries, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Deliver timely and accurate reports to corporate accounting reviewers and to Stream Partners
  • Calculate division leader bonuses as required
  • Review commission billing and receipt information to calculate payroll accruals
  • Track investment entities and review documents to accurately record equity pickups
  • Review A/P invoices, post payment batches, and print checks at least weekly
  • Prepare and post customer billings and review and approve cash receipts
  • Responsible for cash management of assigned entities and communicating issues to VP of Corporate Accounting
  • Special reporting and analytical or Ad Hoc projects as needed or requested
  • Respond to questions from local offices timely and effectively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters Degree and/or CPA strongly preferred
  • Big 4 or mid-tier public accounting experience in audit or tax preferred
  • Commercial real estate industry or Property management industry experience is a plus
  • Workday, NetSuite, or Yardi accounting software is a plus
