Summary
Join Collibra's Customer Engineering team and help shape how large organizations manage data. As a Customer Engineer, you'll guide customers in using Collibra's product, focusing on both new and existing accounts. You'll build strong relationships, serve as a technical advisor, and be responsible for the technical relationship throughout the customer journey. This role is essential to Collibra's sales organization, requiring expertise in data governance and collaboration with various stakeholders. You will map solutions to customer value, participate in discovery and qualification of opportunities, conduct product demonstrations, and advise customers on Collibra adoption. The position also involves preparing RFPs/RFQs, supporting sales and marketing, and providing feedback to product management and engineering.
Requirements
- 3+ years in a Sales or Customer Engineering or Sales Consulting role
- 2+ years experience supporting the US Federal government
- Experience in Sales or Customer engineering in Enterprise land and expand motions
- Broad knowledge of data governance, data catalog, data quality, and data privacy platforms required
- Experience should include a broad range of disciplines including value-based selling, cost-benefit analysis and ROI analysis, process and project management
- A bachelorโs degree or equivalent work experience is required
- Because this role supports the U.S. Government, it is required that this candidate be a U.S. Citizen who resides on U.S. soil

Responsibilities
- Map solutions to value across large and dynamic Federal US customers, bridging both business and technical requirements
- Participate in discovery and driving qualification of new opportunities and expansion customers
- Prepare and conduct product demonstrations, highlighting how Collibraโs Platform can support our Enterprise customerโs needs
- Advise and support customersโ technical stakeholders to accelerate Collibra adoption and value realization, i.e. be the primary point of contact for technical and product related queries
- Identify, evaluating, recommending, and executing value-based workshops and proof of concepts/values
- Prepare and providing input for functional and technical sections of RFPs/RFQs
- Supporting sales and marketing activities, webcasts, field enablement, and asset creation
- Provide advice and feedback to product management and engineering to enhance our offerings
Preferred Qualifications
- Broad experience as a Data Management practitioner in the areas of cataloging, integration, data quality, data and/or enterprise architecture, have setup and/or participated in governance boards is a plus
- Experience in regulatory compliance and or (financial/IT) audit is a plus
- Experience with the leading PaaS providers, Data Lakes, Databases, and Integration platforms - experience in the data space is required
- An effective communicator
- A sales- and customer- focused self-starter with enthusiasm, flexibility, and motivation
- A trusted advisor for C-level executives and C-1 level executives
- A proven collaborator and liaison with all levels and departments within an organization and experience and success in a partner-heavy environment
- Confident in dispensing knowledge to a highly skilled and experienced audience
- Able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of business needs and revenue potential for accounts in the region
- Excited for continuous learning and development, with an aptitude for grasping technical concepts
- Willing to travel up to 30% within the region
Benefits
- The standard base salary range for this position is $140,000-$175,000 per year
- This position is eligible for additional commission-based compensation
