Summary

Barbaricum is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to support a Marine Corps customer in data management and analysis. The role involves identifying and analyzing data, designing and maintaining queries, providing advice on investment decisions, and developing capabilities to enhance analytic capabilities.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in operations research and Analysis Field or similar field
  • 10+ years USMC logistics experience in data/data analytics
  • Mastery of Master Data Repository data lake
  • Mastery in DAX, R, Java, GAWK, Windows script writing and other programming language used to collect, organize, analyze, and share data to support business intelligence requirements utilizing Power BI to develop dashboards and reports

Responsibilities

  • Identify and analyze data from a variety of information sources
  • Assess all pertinent sources of information for applicable metrics
  • Design, build, and maintain queries that support the program, such as Depot Data and Process Improvement
  • Provide data analysis and advice on Enterprise-level investment decisions to the Government
  • Provide gap and capability analysis on the Marine Corps’ Logistics data systems
  • Provide support and analysis on total life cycle management activities for Military Equipment, Secondary Items, Operating Material & Supplies (OM&S)
  • Analysis and support will include, but is not limited to, project modeling, mapping of the business process, IT procedures and programs, lead modernization activities, perform assessments to identify opportunities to add efficiency to processes and applications that result in enhancing customer service and support to internal and external customers
  • Provide services to research, develop, and test state-of-the-art techniques to enrich, extend, and automate analytic capabilities, including the use of machine learning to process large quantities of unstructured data (e.g., deep learning and convolutional neural networks), machine vision, and deep knowledge association
  • Develop capabilities that inform modeling, simulation, and analysis of the programs operations, and information systems/applications
  • Develop methods to explore new systems, procedures, threats, and operational environments safely and covertly through the use of physics-based and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
