Summary

Bitly is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join their BI & Analytics team. The role involves performing in-depth data analysis, utilizing statistical and data analysis techniques, collaborating with various business teams, generating reports and dashboards, leveraging advanced analytics techniques, and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. The position requires 4+ years of experience in BI and Analytics, proficiency in data visualization tools, expertise in SQL, Python, and Data Warehousing, and strong project management skills.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in BI and Analytics
• Proficiency in data visualization tools, preferably Looker and Looker Studio
• Experience with advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI technologies
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple projects simultaneously
• Expertise in SQL, Python, and Data Warehousing - you write reproducible code and have a tendency toward automation
• Attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth data analysis to extract valuable insights, identify trends, patterns, and outliers
• Collaborate with various business teams to understand their data needs and provide guidance on leveraging data for decision-making
• Utilize advanced SQL & Python expertise to analyze data in the Data Warehouse
• Ensure data quality and integrity through data cleaning and validation processes
• Translate complex data insights into clear, concise, and actionable reports, dashboards, and visualizations
• Generate regular reports and dashboards to provide stakeholders with up-to-date information
• Collaborate with business partners to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for tracking
• Keep a pulse on performance metrics and KPIs and have a view of the business, product, and customer base to understand and explain trends
• Leverage advanced analytics techniques, including machine learning and artificial intelligence, to develop predictive, prescriptive, and classification models
• Implement AI/ML solutions to automate and enhance decision-making processes
• Collaborate with various departments (e.g., product, marketing, finance, sales) and bring data supported point-of-view and thought leadership into conversations
• Drive decision-making by providing data-driven insights and recommendations
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and internal data security policies
• Implement measures to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access
