Summary

Join Ontra's growing Data team as a Senior Data Analyst, Go-to-Market! Reporting to the Senior Manager, Data Analytics, you will partner with Finance, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations teams. Your responsibilities include conducting detailed data analysis, developing key metrics, building robust data foundations, and influencing data collection strategies. This role requires strong technical skills, exceptional communication, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments. The base pay range is $141,700 - $198,400 USD, and all positions are eligible for unit-based equity grants. This position is currently only open to candidates based in the United States.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in roles involving data manipulation, exploratory data analysis, and delivering insights through data visualizations
  • Advanced fluency in SQL for constructing complex queries and high proficiency in industry BI tools, with experience or interest in Sigma
  • Intermediate scripting skills in Python or R for analysis
  • Proficient in building data pipelines in the semantic layer using DBT or similar tools, with experience in data modeling, including creating data pipelines for the dim layer
  • Skilled in tracking and analyzing operational KPIs, with experience in identifying workflow bottlenecks and recommending process improvements

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed data analysis to drive decision-making processes and provide actionable insights
  • Own data analytics in high-impact areas within teams, establish measurable success goals, provide insights, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment
  • Drive analytical projects and requests autonomously, ensuring that deliverables meet stakeholder expectations, get actioned on, and land the planned impact
  • Proactively work with stakeholders to understand their needs and communicate insights clearly
  • Collaborate with and provide guidance to other analysts, data engineers and data scientists, fostering growth and enhancing team capabilities
  • Explore new opportunities for cross-team collaboration, propose strategic initiatives, and understand departmental interrelationships for optimal impact

Preferred Qualifications

Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, metrics (LTV, GRR, NDR), and forecasting, with the ability to build and interpret complex financial models
