Summary

Join RYZ Labs as a Sr. Data Analyst and leverage your expert SQL skills and product analytics expertise to drive data-driven decisions. You will analyze user behavior, conduct A/B testing, build retention models, and provide customer lifecycle insights. The role requires strong technical skills and business acumen to translate complex data into actionable product insights. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop dashboards, and support product decisions. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in product analytics and advanced SQL, along with a solid understanding of statistical analysis and data visualization. This is a remote position within a startup studio environment.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of data analysis experience with focus on product analytics and user behavior
  • Expert SQL Skills: Advanced SQL proficiency including complex joins, window functions, CTEs, and query optimization
  • A/B Testing Expertise: Strong background in experimental design, statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and A/B testing platforms
  • Product Analytics: Deep experience with product analytics platforms (Mixpanel, Amplitude, Google Analytics) and product metrics
  • Statistical Analysis: Solid understanding of statistical significance, confidence intervals, power analysis, and experimental design
  • Data Visualization: Proficiency with creating clear, actionable dashboards and reports using BI tools
  • User Behavior Analysis: Experience analyzing user journeys, conversion funnels, and behavioral patterns
  • Business Intelligence: Experience with Looker, Tableau, or similar BI platforms (Omni experience a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Analyze user behavior, feature adoption, product performance metrics, and user engagement patterns
  • Design, implement, and analyze product experiments and A/B tests to optimize user experience and product features
  • Build and maintain customer retention models, cohort analysis, and churn prediction models
  • Analyze customer journey, lifecycle stages, conversion funnel optimization, and user segmentation
  • Perform complex data analysis using advanced SQL techniques for product insights
  • Create and maintain product analytics dashboards and automated reports
  • Partner with product, engineering, marketing, and customer experience teams
  • Provide analytical support for product team decisions, feature launches, and strategic initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cohort analysis, churn modeling, customer lifetime value, and retention optimization
  • Python or R for advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and automation
  • Background in consumer-facing digital products, e-commerce, or marketplace businesses
  • Understanding of customer journey mapping, CX metrics, and user experience analytics
  • Experience with machine learning models for user behavior prediction and segmentation
  • Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar cloud data warehouse platforms
  • Familiarity with dbt for data transformation and modeling
  • Strong ability to present findings and recommendations to product and business stakeholders
