Summary

Join SmartAsset's Data Analytics Team and leverage your data analysis expertise to drive key business decisions. Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to understand business revenue and margin changes, detect trends, and provide actionable insights. You will conceptualize and maintain KPIs and reports, developing standardized dashboards through deep data analysis and ad-hoc reporting. Transform large datasets into actionable insights, communicating complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This role requires a Bachelor's degree and 4-8 years of experience in data analysis, along with strong statistical analysis, Python, SQL, and Excel skills. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computers or related quantitative field
  • 4-8 years of experience as a Data Analyst
  • Strong Statistical analysis, Python (libraries), SQL, and Excel skills
  • Comfortable working with large data sets and interest in building data models for consumer behavior and business metrics
  • Experience developing and maintaining reports using data visualization tools

Responsibilities

  • Understand the changes that impact the business revenue and margin
  • Detect trends, identify opportunities, and provide actionable insights to department leaders allowing them to make informed data-driven decisions to drive the core business
  • Conceptualize and maintain KPIs and reports
  • Develop standardized dashboards through deep data analysis and ad hoc reports to inform business decisions, with an emphasis on automation and scalability
  • With a strong understanding of data analysis techniques, great problem solving skills, and a love for data mining, you will transform large amounts of data into actionable insights and communicate complex data findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Skilled at using Tableau for data visualization and reporting
  • Proficient in statistical methods, including confidence intervals and hypothesis testing
  • Experience with tracking and analytics tools such as Mixpanel, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Optimizely
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines while balancing business needs and data constraints
  • Familiarity with project management tools (Jira) and version control systems (Gitlab)
